The location is very convenient for exploring the city.
I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom had a strange smell, and the towels were old and grey rather than white. There was no one at the reception during our stay, which made it difficult to get assistance when we needed it.

great location but limited reception hours
The location was fantastic. It was quiet yet close to all main attractions. The spacious room had all the amenities I needed with very comfortable beds. Communication with the staff was outstanding, and I appreciated their tips on what to explore. I also enjoyed the flat-screen TV and electric kettle available in the room.
There were times when I wished for more assistance, as reception wasn't staffed during certain hours.

A beautiful historic building with well-preserved features, the hotel offers a spacious and clean room, which provided a nice view. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring fresh options, including their delightful oatmeal served in stylish dishes. However, the walls were notably thin, allowing for significant noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which interrupted restful sleep. Also, we faced challenges with parking due to the city’s shopping weekend, making arrival a bit cumbersome.

missingWrote a review on May 12central locationspacious suitedelightful breakfaststeep stairs
Karel De Stoute offers an excellent central location, approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the train station and near the main square. The superior suite I stayed in was spacious, beautifully presented, and equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was delightful, featuring a variety of freshly brought options including rustic breads, cheeses, and pastries in a charming dining room.
The steep stairs may be a challenge for those with mobility issues.
